Quick Update
Since about Friday, I've been pulling shots with DoubleShot's espresso blend. You might remember that DoubleShoot Coffee Company is going through hell with Starbucks over the rights to the term doubleshot, which you can read about on their blog.
The blend is the Ambergris Espresso blend. Doubleshot's explanation of the blend is funny: Strangey reminiscent of the eccentric junior high home room teacher who wafted Jungle Gardnia perfume all the way down the hallway. I don't know about that, but the blend is really good and really good for home machines. No need to temp surf (as I haven't with this blend), which is really what I look for with a lot of blends. To be honest, I just want to pull a shot and drink it happily... without having to temp surf and pull 3+ shots for the perfect shot. I'm sure I can get better results with temp surfing .... butttttttttttttt. =)
I have a pound of another Espresso Blend as well, which will probably be opened later this week. Smells great; can't wait.

Did you buy a whole gallon paint can of the DSCC Ambergris?
I've never tried it since there is no way I would go through that much coffee (over 3 lbs?) before it got too old.
Nope. I personally asked for 1-lb of two blends. I too can't finish a paint can of coffee either.
